These cloves come from the small island of Pemba in Zanzibar, Tanzania, which is famous for its cloves. Handpicked right before flowering for the most mature flavor, the cloves are then dried before being jarred and shipped to you. These cloves have a bright, sweet intensity with a rich warmth and a numbing menthol buzz.
